City Of Charlestown Builds New Park In Heritage Place

There’s great news coming from the City of Charlestown, Indiana and for the families of Heritage Place as the city announces the construction of a brand new city park within the community.
Heritage Place ParkMayor Bob Hall and the City Council announced Tuesday, April 23, the location of one of their newest community parks, Heritage Neighborhood Park in Heritage Place. The park, a welcome addition to the neighborhood, will be located at the end of Freedom Way and connected by trail to Independence Way.  In a release from the city, Councilmen Ted Little and JT Cox have been strong supporters of this park. Councilman Cox noted that Heritage Park is centrally located and will serve all phases of the this neighborhood.
According to Mayor Hall, “This is just another step in fulfilling the city’s commitment to put a park within walking distance of every family.” In an effort to provide recreation opportunities for everyone in the family, The Heritage Place Park, scheduled to start in early May and complete during the summer of 2019, will have a playground, shelter/picnic, basketball, and pickleball courts.
Other park sites are in process at Ashley Springs, Danbury Oaks, and Woodford Farms and should be announced soon.
